Pioneering Generative AI for a Landmark Event Announcement

The Brief

For the landmark co-location of their two flagship brands, Autumn Fair and Glee, Hyve Events and their agency Everywherebrand needed an ambitious digital screen campaign for the NEC. The brief was to create something captivating and innovative that would celebrate the fusion of two worlds - home and garden- in an unforgettable way.

Our Approach

A traditional workflow wouldn't capture the magic of this unique partnership. We proposed a cutting-edge generative production process, treating AI not as a shortcut, but as a creative partner within a sophisticated hybrid ecosystem. Our philosophy is that success in this new paradigm requires a deep blend of classic craft (cinematography, editing, VFX) and a hands-on understanding of new technology. This strategic approach allowed us to bring a series of charming, surreal, and stylish concepts to life.

The Work: Crafting a Landmark Moment

We delivered a deeply integrated generative AI workflow, guiding the project from concept to a final, polished campaign.

  • Conceptual Storytelling: The creative was built around four distinct narratives that fused the worlds of home and garden: Gnomes inviting the outside in, a flamingo creating the perfect pairing, Gnomes taking the inside out, and a classical statue finding its place indoors.

  • Generative AI Production: Each animation was brought to life not with traditional CGI, but by pushing the boundaries of generative AI. Starting from single concept images, each sequence was meticulously art-directed through a complex workflow using cutting-edge image-to-video tools like VEO 3.

  • Hybrid Post-Production: The AI outputs were seamlessly integrated into a traditional post-production pipeline, where we applied our expertise in editing, colour grading, and sound design to elevate the final assets to a broadcast-quality standard.

The Impact

The campaign provided Hyve with a suite of beautiful, standout animations that captured attendee attention - a visual rarity on the busy screens of a major exhibition centre. This successfully built awareness for the new co-location, while strategically demonstrating that Generative AI is a powerful new tool in the creative and production arsenal, capable of delivering exceptional and unique visual content when wielded with expert craft.
