Hyve Events: Autumn Fair & Glee Co-location

The Ambition & The Reality: For the co-location of their flagship brands, Autumn Fair and Glee, Hyve Events required an ambitious digital screen campaign for the NEC. The creative goal was to celebrate the fusion of the home and garden sectors with a charming, slightly surreal visual style. The reality was that a traditional CGI workflow would be too rigid and slow to deliver the required volume of high-concept animation. We needed to build a production pipeline capable of generating complex, character-driven visuals without the standard rendering bloat.

The Craft & The Workflow: We executed a highly technical generative AI workflow. We treated the technology as a distinct production tool rather than a quick fix. We built the campaign around four core narratives. These featured gnomes pulling the outside indoors, a flamingo making a perfect product pairing, and a classical statue settling into a living room. We started with tightly art-directed concept frames and pushed them through image-to-video models like Veo.

Generating the motion was only the first phase. To ensure the work felt premium, we brought the raw AI outputs straight into a traditional post-production environment. We applied standard broadcast discipline to the edit, built a heavy colour grade, and layered in proper sound design. By anchoring the generative footage in classic post-production fundamentals, we gave the surreal concepts the grounded reality they needed to survive on massive exhibition screens.

The Outcome: The final campaign delivered a suite of high-end animations that easily locked attendee attention across the busy halls of the NEC. It successfully launched the new brand partnership while proving that generative tools can produce beautiful, broadcast-quality work when controlled by an experienced post team.
